Back in March, Cooper booked his first SAG national commercial principal role! He was in the Huggies Goodnites commercial and had so much fun filming it over the course of 2 days. The commercial is airing all over the nation, and in the LA area has been spotted on channels 4,5,& 7 at all hours of the day. The cast and crew on set were wonderful, professional and we both had a lovely time. Many thanks to his agents at CESD for helping him get this job. Here it is on good ole YouTube!

Cooper worked with Hollywood producer, Steve Nicolaides!
Cooper was a very lucky boy today! He got to work with big time Hollywood producer, Steve Nicolaides. He's the asst director for the AFI short that Cooper is in called Porcelain. Steve was really cool and very sweet with Cooper during the test shoot. What an honor it was to get to meet the producer of great films like, A Few Good Men, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, The Princess Bride, and he even worked on Stand By Me, a real classic.

Great day on set of Today's Tiaras music video pilot!
Wow, did we have fun today! The set of Today's Tairas music video was so much fun for Cooper. He made great friends with the 6 other little boys (who were all playing the 7 dwarfs from Snow White). Cooper (shortest in red) was Bashful, which could not be further from his actual personality, but he was a great little actor and pulled it off expertly. They had a wonderful time playing games and putting on a talent show in the down time. There are lots of amazing little triple threat boys out there. Cooper was very impressed by their dance moves and really wants to take some hip hop lessons now. Fun day!

Cooper landed the role of Ghost Boy on the short film "Porcelain"!
Well, this will be film #2 for Cooper! He'll be playing Ghost Boy on the grad student film "Porcelain"! Gill Dennis, of Walk the Line fame, is the mentor for this project, so that will give Cooper some great exposure to a pro in the biz. The casting director said that it's one of the best short scripts to come out of AFI and that it's festival bound. Filming is the last week in March. Congrats Cooper!

Photo shoot with Dennis Kwan!
I just had an amazing photo shoot with bi-coastal photographer extraordinaire, Dennis Kwan! He was so much fun to shoot with and Mommy was really lucky to book him while he was in LA. Dennis said that he didn't even need to direct me, because I was so good at striking natural poses and connecting with the camera. This was a shoot for my Zed card for modeling and print work, but I bet I'll get some great new head shots from this session as well. I was rocking my new haircut too. The location had these really cool trees with buttress roots that were so much fun for me! I love having my pictures taken!
Great audition for lead in student film!
I had a great audition for the lead in a grad student film called "Porcelain". The casting director came out after wards and told my Mom that my ability to take direction was beyond my years, and that I was really awesome in the audition. The CD, writer, photographer were just gushing praises and that made me feel great! They took 360 degree photos of my head, because if I get the role, they will be making a doll that looks just like me to use in the film. I hope I get this one, but even if I don't, it was wonderful to get such positive feedback from casting.

I'm auditioning for a role on "The Middle" today!
This is an exciting day for me because I'm auditioning for the role of the character Axl for a flashback scene on the hit TV show "The Middle". What a great opportunity for me! Mom thinks I don't really look like the current day Axl character, played by Charlie McDermott, but I'm going to give it my best shot anyway, and have fun going to the Warner Brother's Ranch lot for the first time. Maybe they'll want to me my hair dark brown and wear green contacts! Thanks WB for the shot!

Just got a call-back for a pilot!
Yipee! I just got a call-back for a pilot! Mom heard the whole audition thru the walls of the studio and I did great! The CD came out and told my Mom that I was truly an awesome kid and was super cute, so we are crossing our fingers. And my Daddy hopes I get it because it shoots with Heidi Klum! The pilot airs in February and I hope I'm on it!

I got a part in "The Emperor's New Clothes"!
I auditioned for and got a part in my school's stage production of "The Emperor's New Clothes"! Award winning director, Terri Miller Schmidt, will be directing it, and I'm going to play the old man as well as be a part of the jester chorus. I'm the only 5 year old in a sea of 3rd thru 5th graders in the play! We'll be rehearsing about 9 hours per week till the end of April, when we will be doing 3 performances in Orange County. Broadway here I come!

Cooper Brown, Little Star in Town!
Welcome to my blog! My name is Cooper Brown and I'm a 5 year old actor and model. I started acting in March 2010, because I love being the center of attention and have a very BIG, outgoing personality. I love to sing, dance and role play, and will perform for anyone who will watch. People kept telling my Mom wherever we would go that I should be on TV, so Mom decided to give it a go. A few months later, after I had some acting and auditioning experience under my belt, and still loved all the hubbub that goes with the industry, Mom decided that it was time to get me an agent so that I could reach for the stars. I had 10 agent meetings in LA and 7 offers from those agents! Success! Hopefully that means that I have what it takes to be in the biz. Cunningham, Escott, Slevin, and Doherty (CESD) represent me for theatrical, commercial, voice-over, print and modeling. Right now I'm just a busy boy, going to pre-K, playing with my friends, and occasionally making the trip to LA for "work". Acting is a fun activity for me like any other, and just a small facet of what makes up the whole extraordinary me. So welcome to my journey in Hollywood, and thanks for visiting my blog!

Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
This was my very first project. It was a spec commercial for Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. I had so much fun on this set, because we got to eat the Crescent Rolls afterward! Everyone on this set was very welcoming and sweet to me and I could not have asked for a better first stab at acting on camera.

Here are some of the projects that I have been a part of.....
Joshua Tree
I had a tiny supporting, speaking role with the star, Emilio Roso. Joshua Tree is a feature film and is still in post-production. It's set to be released in June 2011, but sometimes these things take longer than anticipated. Here's a link to the trailer below. I'm in it at around 0:49-1:03.That's me in my lucky blue shirt. This movie has some adult themes in it, but don't worry, I was not exposed to anything scary on set. I'm hoping to get to walk the red carpet at the premier. Too bad I'm too young to actually see my own movie till I'm 17 (i.e. not rated G!). LOL! I also got an official IMDb supporting credit for this role. Check out the link on my IMDb page too, where you can view my resume and contact info!http://www.imdb.me/cooperbrown

I AM Human (Campaign Afghanistan) PSA
I filmed the I Am Human Campaign Afghanistan PSA on the same day as Joshua Tree, since it was a really short shoot. The PSA (public service announcement) is to bring awareness to the plight of women and children in rural Afghanistan suffering from malnutrition, particularly protein deficiency. The campaign will bring soybeans farming to the region in an effort to end the starvation. I felt great about helping out with such a worthy cause. Nobody should be hungry, especially children of the world. I was a little superhero, saving the world one soybean at a time! Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of this commercial to show you yet.On the set of I AM Human PSA!
Pentax "Action Figures"
I co-starred with comedian/actor Owen Benjamin in this great commercial for the Pentax I-10 camera. Esteemed director, Nick Goossen, was great to work with and Owen and I had tons of fun on set and off. This was barely work at all, since I just got to play with toys all day with Owen and deliver a few adorable glances. That's me in my lucky blue shirt again! What am I going to wear when I grow out of it?!On set of Pentax shoot with actor/comedian Owen Benjamin. He was so sweet with Cooper!
Pool Safely National PSA Campaign
I starred in my own section of the Pool Safely campaign for the Consumer Products Safety Commission. My section is about pool surface motion alarms and door alarms to help prevent child drownings. I did some really fun underwater shooting for my role as "Jake". I was so proud to be involved in such a great project that will hopefully save the lives of children. The first link is the shorter television commercial that aired nationally and I'm in the first 10 seconds of it. The second and third links are the longer versions for internet/web site/trade show use. I'm in section 4, "Alarms". There is also a large print campaign for Pool Safely. I'm in the brochures as well as on billboards nationwide. Apparently I have a huge billboard in LA on La Cienega Northbound somewhere, but Mom has yet to find it.Television 30 second version
